Daily Life at Cotiviti:
Sometimes I have my regular duties, which starts from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. while I also have my evening duties at times which starts from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Every morning I wake up so late that I almost miss my office van. I wake up, take bath, do small prayer, have my breakfast and get ready for my job. Most of the times, my neighbors see my running till I reach the bus stop.
I generally reach office at 10 and start checking emails. After half n hour, I along with my team mates go to have little bit of morning black coffee for about 10 minutes and again return back to desk for work. Time passes so quickly till 12 noon and then our breaktime starts. We generally have our lunch at office ( its for free 😛 ). Most of the times, I have rice, dal and regular diet while some days I prefer to have other meals than rice dal veggies etc. After lunch, most of my colleagues go for a small walk either near Durbarmarg area or till the park situated at Naxal.
At sharp 1 p.m., again our breaktime ends. Again, back to our respective cubicles for work. Then day seems so long because our next break (snacks break) starts at 4 p.m. and there is continuously 4 hours worktime in between the two meals. Sometimes we joke around cubicle and sometimes watch some youtube videos in between the work or listen to music while working. Office is so much fun when we have no pressure at work. However, when there is huge work load, time passes so slowly and the work is done under pressure, continuously watching the screen and doing analysis. Work life seems too boring at this moment.
At sharp 4, everyone go for snacks and tea. From 4:30 till 7, again continuous hard work is done. The more the end of the day, the more is the work load. Everyone is busy to complete their assigned task. I work till 7 and then do my packing for home since van leaves exactly on time.
Meetings:
Meetings are generally held to discuss agendas. Meeting has involvement of multiple people. Most of the time, the main speaker speaks while other tends to listen about the scenario. However, sometimes meeting is held not only to discuss agendas but also to receive feedback from the people around.
At my work, the major team meeting is held once a week which lasts for 1 hour. In this meeting, whole team assembles together and discuss about what issues we have gone through so far, what can be done to further prevent those issues and how can we look at the same problem in some different view. Not only about the team updates, organizational updates are also provided in the team meetings – what changes have been made recently in the organization, how can we improve the quality in our top level, infrastructure changes or any other change related to the office.
The first 10-15 minutes is very interesting. Slowly, as time passes, all of us feel so sleepy and start drinking water. Some employees take coffee to the meeting while most employees take water. However, the overall meeting is always fruitful and we have a clear understanding about the organizational and team goals and plans.
